UNI-T UT501A Digital Insulation Resistance Tester

The UNI-T UT501A is a digital insulation resistance tester with selectable 100V, 250V, 500V and 1000V test voltages for electrical testing and resistance measurement work.

The UNI-T UT501A insulation resistance tester is designed for insulation resistance, low-resistance and AC voltage testing. It provides 2,000-count digital measurement with automatic ranging and supports selectable test voltages of 100V, 250V, 500V and 1000V. The tester is suitable for technicians and electrical users who require a portable meter for checking compatible wiring, sockets, equipment and electrical installations.

Testing Functions and Practical Features

The UT501A measures low resistance from 0.01Ω to 200Ω and has a test short-circuit current below 2mA. Its operating features include a buzzer alarm, light alarm, high-voltage indicator and overload indication. The meter is rated CAT II 1000V and CAT III 600V, and the supplied information states compliance with IEC 61557-1:2007 and IEC 61557-2:2007. It is powered by six 1.5V AA batteries and has an approximate body size of 150 × 100 × 71mm.
